As of today, playschool for the 2010-2011 school year has been cancelled due to low enrollment.
Thank you to all our former parents and Board Members for making this last year a great one!

Moving...
I am in the process of moving this blog to another account. And while I wanted to keep the same web address, this is proving to be more difficult than I orginally expected!

Registration Information 2010-2011
To Register for school next year, you can do one of the following:
1. Email lakewoodplayschool@gmail.com with your contact information and someone from the Board will contact you.
2. Call the school at (780) 465-2097 and someone from the Board will get back to you.
3. Come to our Open House on August 10th (6:30 to 8:30pm).
Check out this post for all the cheques required upon registration. You can also Download the Registration Booklet and fill it out so you're spending less time on paper work at the Open House!!
If you ever have any questions, please give us a call or shoot us an email.
Teacher Shannon is running some Kindergarten prep camps this summer, so you can also call the school for more information on those. They run in August, and sound like they are going to be so much fun...with some learning thrown in for good measure!

I've been busy...
so I haven't been here! This is a busy time of year for us at school...only a couple of weeks left to go and lots of things going on!
Important Dates:
Crazy Hair/Rainbow Day: today and tomorrow
Wear your rainbow clothes, and funny hair!!
Year End Party
Next Wednesday, June 9th
Please see the sheet coming home with the kids for more information, including time and location (it's "offsite")
Final Day of Class
Thursday, June 17
Friday, June 18
We have a little "grad" ceremony planned for both classes, so parents can drop their wee-ones off at the regular time, then join us after 10am for the festivities.
We are still taking registrations for both classes, for the Fall term. Please call the school if you have any questions, or want to register your child.
We are also still looking for Board Members for next year. Please take a peek at this post if you are interested in volunteering!

Hello...from the Board
Hi All!
Our next Board Meeting is coming up on Tuesday May 11th at 7pm. We meet in the classroom, and everyone is welcome. You can even bring the kids! We will be finalizing some details for the Year End party, and discussing the final month of classes!

We are now accepting registrations for the upcoming school year, in both classes.
Give us a call at (780) 465-2097 and we will answer any of your questions and set up a time to collect your registration fee. Our next Open House is in August. I will post the date here shortly.

Registration Information 2010-2011
The following 15 cheques are required upon registration
Registration fee: $35 (non-refundable)
Duty Day fee: 2 cheques of $30 each (undated)
- To be returned at end of year if you complete all your duty days.
- If one duty day is missed, one cheque will be cashed. If both cheques are cashed, parents will have to replace those with new cheques.
Fundraising fee: 3 cheques of $50 each (undated)
- To be returned at the end of the year provided fundraising obligations have been fulfilled.
- Our playschool completes three fundraisers each school year. If you do not complete the minimum requirements of a fundraiser, one cheque will be cashed.
- Withdrawing your child without fulfilling fundraising obligations will result in cashing this cheque.
Monthly fees: 8 cheques, dated for the 1st of each month
- Dated for the first of the each month starting from October through May
- Deposited by the 5th of each month
